Great place for Cantonese food. Owner is friendly but please be aware that they will not take more takeout orders when they are already filled with too many. I appreciate the owner’s authenticity in keeping the quality of everyone’s orders to his standards. Clay pot rice is cooked to order so please be patient and let them do their thing! Chicken is high quality and has the signature “red inside the bone” that Cantonese master chefs pride themselves over so please don’t be freaked out by that. The chicken is cooked, just very gently! Come early if you don’t want to wait bc the restaurant size is small.

We ordered the chicken ginger green onion, sautéed large pea sprouts, and black pepper beef clay pot rice. Both the chicken and beef were cooked perfectly; tender, flavorful, and balanced. The pea sprouts were simple yet surprisingly addicting. Despite being super busy, the service was excellent. Definitely recommend this spot and will be coming back!

Blue Sky Café is a truly exceptional Cantonese spot that delivers authentic, high-quality dishes in a comforting, family-style setting; the service is warm, friendly and efficient, ensuring a pleasant dining experience even during peak hours when the simple dining room is bustling. The food is the real star, featuring generous portions of expertly prepared specialties like the beautifully Steamed Pompano with Black Bean Sauce, which was succulent and perfectly seasoned and the flavorful, crispy-bottomed Clay Pot Rice, which is a must-try classic they are known for. We thoroughly enjoyed the perfectly cooked Ginger Scallion Chicken and the delicious mix of textures and flavors in the other dishes, including the Stir-fried Beef and Chinese Broccoli and the savory Braised Tofu with Mushrooms and Greens, proving this is a go-to spot for satisfying and traditional Cantonese cuisine.

We found this restaurant just across our hotel during our vacation in San Francisco. It had a high rating so my husband and I decided to eat here for dinner. It opens at 4 and we got there about 10 minutes after and the place was already full. Luckily, there was still a table that was available and we were able to get seated. The place is small but modern and clean. There was only 1 person in the counter to assist with the ordering that was on the app for quicker service. There were so many food that we wanted to try because they all looked so good but there's only 2 of us so we ordered the brisket and tofu clay pot and the salt and pepper prawns. They were both authentic, very tasty and fresh. The beef was tender and the prawns were really crispy that we were able to eat the shell too. The serving was generous but we finished every bit of it. The waiting line was already long outside before we were even finished eating.

Always good flavors here, and generous portion sizes. Claypot rice with charred rice bottom is great, and hard to find elsewhere. Just be aware that whenever tech companies are not serving employees food, this place will be crowded with a 30-45+ min wait (Fri, Sat, Sun dinner, and holidays). Great value, and that's why people come back again and again! See dishes + menu photos.

Very small place but delivers good food. Service is typical of a small and fast Chinese place. Can be slow at times and servers moving quickly to deliver plates and tend to takeout orders. Luckily, they do take reservations for parties of 5 or more. If you come during peak hours, there will be a wait (I wouldn't necessarily wait for a table here - maybe max 20 minutes)? It is in a small plaza but the parking lot spaces are somewhat tight. There was a QR code on the table for the menu as well, which was nice. You can also order takeout, but there was almost an hour wait for that as well. I believe they may have stopped taking take out orders too at one point in the evening around 7:30-8pm on a Saturday. All the food was good. Not the absolute best in the Bay/other Chinese places, but they do have generous portions for the price you pay. I didn't take a picture of the clay pot rice, but a medium could be shared among at least 4-5 people with leftovers. Beef stew was tasty and soft - what you'd like and expect in a good beef noodle soup. Fried pork chops were fried well and crispy, and a good amount of green onion sprinkled over - these were definitely not as salty as some other places, which is nice if you're into that. Sweet & sour was good too, with some pieces of cartilage or bone in some pieces so be a little cautious.
